Self-Titled Digital EP Available November 10
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NASHVILLE, TN – Nothing invokes the camaraderie of hanging out with friends and having some “Beer On The Table” like the iconic greeting “Norm!” from the classic sitcom Cheers. So when the Today show featured Cheers alum George Wendt on the program yesterday to talk about his new book, Drinking With George, the producers of show naturally turned to Josh Thompson’s debut hit single, “Beer On The Table,” to promote the segment.
In New York City for the first time ever yesterday, Thompson said, “Growing up we watched Cheers all the time, and I loved Norm so it’s really cool and a little bit crazy that ‘Beer On The Table,’ was part of the show! We were in the city for only a day, and it was busy but I did get to see Times Square and Central Park, which was unbelievable. Where else can you see ducks and an ice skating rink in the same place?”
With “Beer On The Table” Top 30 and climbing, fans will soon get the opportunity to hear more Josh Thompson music when his self-titled, digital EP becomes available on November 10. Produced by Michael Knox (Jason Aldean), the four-track EP includes Top 30 single, as well as "Blame It On Waylon," which he co-wrote with Rhett Akins,“Won’t Be Lonely Long” which Josh co-wrote with George Ducas and Arlis Albritton, and the powerful self- penned, “Sinner.”
